With the exception of the saddle hide material, we wrap the leather around a solid board to create a leather menu cover - saddle hide is strong enough to use as one solid piece. Choose your leather, size, fixing method and personalisation for your perfect menu folder design.
Saddle hide is an extremely hard-wearing material which only gets better with age. Primarily used for saddlery, saddle hide menu covers are our only folders that are made with one piece of material, making them our most durable and unique cover. Synonymous with leather jackets and designer bags, saddle hide menu covers add a sense of style to your menu that not many others can.
Our real leather is made from a real hide of leather in a traditional Italian tannery. Real leather is used for its incredible durability and natural qualities. Real leather menu covers display quality which is almost unparalleled.
Bonded leather and Hydra leather both have the characteristics of real leather, but are made from 85% genuine leather fibres which have been retrieved from tannery waste to create a sustainable leather. Used for all of the same purposes that one might use leather for, these leathers retain the same strength, looks and smells of real leather. Bonded and Hydra leather menu folders are the closest thing to real leather at a more affordable price.
Stitched hide is a faux leather material which is called stitched hide due to its signature stitch right the way around the perimeter. Used as a substitute for leather in many applications, this PU leather has a striking resemblance to real thing at a fraction of the price. Stitched hide is a smooth material with a slightly shiny finish.
Elephant Grain is very similar to stitched hide in makeup and we even use the same stitching effect around the perimeter. The difference is that elephant grain has a leather like textured effect, reminiscent of worn leather or the skin of an elephant.
Vivella is a leather-like material which is soft to the touch. Vivella is used for its resemblance to leather and its durability. The thermo reactive nature of this material means that it is great for debossing on to and is frequently used for our most elaborate designs for exactly that reason.
